MEMBERSHIP CONTRACT

1) SUBSCRIPTIONS
1.1 Subscription Fees will be confirmed to all members in October, having been set by the Committee. The Committee may not vary the Fee by more than 20%
either way of the previous rate, without a General Meeting.
1.2 Subscriptions fall due and are payable to the Membership Secretary on or before 1st January each year.
1.3 In the case of new members, subscription and the joining fee should accompany the application form, which are returnable if the application is rejected.
1.4 The subscription of any member joining on or after the 1st October in any year shall cover the period to 31st December of the following year.
1.5 No member shall participate in any of the privileges of membership until the current subscription has been paid.
2) CONTRACT OF MEMBERSHIP
2.1 Members may access Mount Farm only within the designated opening hours and will gain entry to the ground via an official key.
2.2 Every member binds himself in honour to abide by the Constitution & Rules of the Club and also by any modifications thereof, made in conformity with such Constitution &
Rules.
2.3 Every member shall register acceptance of the Constitution & Rules before joining the Club.
2.4 Members shall hold themselves bound in honour in all cases of dispute or disagreement as to the interpretation of the Rules & Regulations of the Club, to accept the decision
of the Committee as final and Binding.
2.5 In the event of a grave breach of the Rules & regulations of the Club, by a member, or of conduct on the part of a member, rendering it desirable that s/he should cease to be
a member, a meeting of the Committee shall be convened, at which, such member shall be invited to attend, to inquire whether a cause for expulsion has arisen or not.
2.6 In the event of any member being, in the opinion if the Committee, guilty of reckless driving or unsportsmanlike or unmannerly behaviour, or of conduct prejudicial to the
interests of motorcycling, s/he shall be called before the Committee and failing a satisfactory explanation, s/he may be cautioned, or suspended, or required to resign his/her membership.
2.7 No member shall be expelled or suspended except by a resolution supported by at least two-thirds of the Committee members present at the evening.
2.8 One appeal may be made, by a member facing expulsion, to a General Meeting, constitutionally called by such a member. A two-thirds majority in favour of the appeal is
required.
3) GENERAL RULES
3.1 The Club and its ground shall not be used for business purposes without prior approval of the Committee, and never in Breach of the Lease.
3.2 Membership cards and bike stickers must be produced to gain entry to the practice ground and the Bike and general behaviour must satisfy the club so as not to prejudice the terms
of the lease. A noisy bike or stupid or reckless riding will result in the offender being asked to leave the ground and he/she will be reported to the committee under rule 2.5
4) SAFETY RULES
4.1 No member may ride at Mount Farm UNLESS ACCOMPANIED BY A RESPONSIBLE PERSON
4.2 A parent/guardian MUST remain with junior member (under 17 years) at all times at Mount Farm, whether practising or competing.
4.3 To comply with insurance requirements, a Crash Helmet, Boots, Gloves and Long-sleeved shirt/jacket MUST BE WORN while practising on the Site.
4.4 No member may allow a non member to enter the Site to ride. Infringement of this will be referred to the Committee who will take action.
4.5 The Club reserves the right to convey any injured person to hospital for attention, if a Club Official considers it necessary.
4.6 The Club prohibits members riding at the Site on the day of an organised event from the time the Clerk of the Course arrives until s/he leaves. (This is a legal requirement to
comply with the Insurance Conditions.)
